Women as Agents of Change – Celebrating Mother’s Day!

A woman is endowed with gifts from her Creator which makes her a strong agent of change in many ways. A woman is a born motivator and that is why the wings of change evolve round her. She is enduring, sensitive, attentive, temperate, determined, meticulous, progressive, competent and resourceful. She is full of wisdom and excellence; she is a force in her own rights.

A woman wears so many hats, she’s a wife, a mother, a sister, a friend, and an entrepreneur and in one moment she can run from kitchen to market to the office for a crucial meeting to reading bedtime stories to sitting out with friends for a little chit-chat and still cuddle in bed for an after-dark fun. What a challenge to do it all! Yet she balances her roles excellently. She has the ability to multitask her roles as a wife and mother and still be a top executive. Her balance makes her an ideal role model for the next generation.

As a mother, she is called to assist her Creator in creation. She is called to nurture and by her very nature, a woman is creative. She is the hope of her child. She becomes his first mentor, teacher, role model, advocate and strong influence over his life. Thus, many households receive their temperament from their mothers and a lot of changes are made, from changing diapers and nursing sons she can change an entire nation. Therefore, women are primary factors for a generational change.

To her husband, she is a life support and the heart of their union. She is a pillar of strength.  Her strength is different but not lesser than that of man. She has vision, and has been endowed with the ability to bring that vision to life in the life of her partner as well. Blessed with an intuitive spirit and insights, she sees her world from a different perspective with a sedate confidence and ability to gently influence those she loves. She uses the creative edge of her feminine perspectives to stand by the most weakest of men to build an empire. No wonder, the adage, “Behind every successful man there’s a woman.” She is the softer side of a man and she will skilfully use her softer nature to bids her wishes.

Religiously, women possess some special ability to touch the heart of their Creator. A woman turns to her Creator, reaching out for a miracle for her family in trust. The cries of a distressed woman will soften the heart of a king and draws her Creator’s attention to reach low and touch a broken world with compassion. So powerful is their spiritual awareness that women have been liberated to go further to discover their gifts in achieving more and still be feminine with the success and honor of executives and still enjoy motherhood and family by making her home a haven where her accomplishments are appreciated. She is spiritual and successful, maternal yet career oriented, independent and still relational. This is the success of being a woman of change.

In the society, women have transpired from the backdrop of housewives to attend their great potentials.  The emergence of women like the Eleanor Roosevelt of Politics, the Coretta Scott King of Civil Rights and the Mother Teresa of Ministry, who through their strong willed determination and patience endurance have made their mark in history and great impact in their generations to become the world geniuses. Today, the rapid evolution of modern women celebrating their femininity in fulfillment has demonstrated women as agents of change. Happy Mother's Day!
